Koi Design is an American medical apparel manufacturer founded by Kathy Peterson.

In 2006, Santa Monica designed the first garment model for nurses to change the image of the visually unattractive and uncomfortable, stiff, mostly blue and green aprons, made of fabric that gives the impression of a tablecloth.
Koi's mission, was to create a garment that would be eagerly worn, even loved, by women, and so the first model of Lindsey trousers was created, which was incredibly popular with female nurses.
In 2008, Koi collaborated with Tokidoki to add some more fun and fancy decorative elements to their garments.
Interest in women's scrubs grew rapidly, so a men's collection was also introduced in 2009 to allow this phenomenon to spread to an even larger audience.
